"During my time in therapy, I’ve learned to continue to move forward and try not to repeat old habits. Yvette creates a nonjudgmental environment where you can be totally you and nothing you say leaves that room. I talk out my issues to validate them so I can begin to move forward into a happier, healthier life. 

 

Everything cannot be worked out in one session; it takes time.  I’m learning to give myself time to work on my issues; seeing as it took half of my life to realize change is needed.  I’m learning that your outer-self can look perfectly fine, but your insides can be really stressed and make health issues worse.  

 

You have to do the work. Yvette guides me through the process. It’s not easy, but as for myself after each session I feel like I’m chipping away at the large rock and I see a light at the end of my dark tunnel. I believe with continued therapy to work on myself, I will not feel invisible and take on others emotional responsibilities.

 

I would tell other women, don’t be afraid or ashamed to seek out help.  I’m learning you don’t have to live in misery. You are not the only one going through the same or similar issues. Don't give up!"
